Applied AI
Automate the work nobody should be doing by hand.
Not chatbots for the sake of chatbots. We find the repetitive, expensive, error-prone parts of how your business actually runs, and we build the specific tool that removes them.
Most AI proposals for small businesses are a demo in search of a problem. We start the other way round: we sit with your team, watch where hours disappear, and cost out the manual work. Quoting. Data entry between systems that do not talk. Answering the same twelve questions. Chasing invoices. Reformatting reports.
Then we build the narrow thing that fixes it. A quote calculator that reads your price list. A CRM bridge that ends double entry. An intake assistant that qualifies enquiries at midnight so your team wakes up to a sorted pipeline. Small, sharp tools with a payback period you can measure.
We are deliberately conservative about where AI touches customers. Anything that talks to your clients gets guardrails, escalation paths to a human, and a review loop, because a confidently wrong answer costs more than no answer.
Questions
AI & Automation, answered.
Is AI automation worth it for a small business?
It is worth it when a specific task is repetitive, high-volume and rule-shaped, quoting, data transfer between systems, first-line enquiry handling, report generation. It is usually not worth it for judgement-heavy work that happens a few times a month. We scope every engagement by estimating hours saved per month against build cost, and we will tell you when the honest answer is that automation would not pay for itself.
Will an AI chatbot give customers wrong information?
It can, which is why we do not deploy open-ended chatbots. We build retrieval-grounded assistants that answer only from your approved documents, decline politely when they do not know, and hand off to a human on any commercial or sensitive question. We also review real transcripts during the first weeks of every deployment and tighten the guardrails based on what actually gets asked.
Do we need to replace our existing software?
Almost never. Most of the value comes from connecting tools you already pay for so they stop requiring a human to copy data between them. We work with your existing CRM, accounting and marketing stack wherever the APIs allow it.
